Lighting 
Project - 
Distribution 
Program

 Malaita
 Constituency.
 His
 Development 
Committee
 policy intention 
is 
to
 provide
 solar
 lighting
 to
 every 
household 
and church 
house
 in
 Small 
Malaita
 and
 hence
 it
 is
 one
 of
 the
 priorities 
 in
 the
 Constituency
 development 
program.
 
So 
far
 distribution 
has
 reached
 over
 nine
 hundred
 households
 in
 Small Malaita. As
 a
 token 
he
 has
 also
 donated
 Solar
 lighting
 to
 Small
 Malaita
 people
 in
 and
 around
 Honiara.

 this
 program 
will continue
 next
 year
 2012.

Meeting

 follows
 his
 successful
 meeting
 with
 the
 Premier,

 23,
 and 
officials 
on 
the 
Provincial 
government
 in 
August,
 2011.
The
 Discussions 
were
 around
 the
 development
 of
 Afio
 economic
 growth
 centre,
 Parasi
 airport
 rehabilitation,
 rehabilitation
 of old
 road
 and
 bridges,
 and
 other
 infrastructure
 development
 projects
 on
 Small 
Malaita. 
He
 said 
he
 is 
pleased 
with
 the
 outcome
 from
 those
 discussions
 in
spite
 this 
is
 being
 the
 first
 time
 a
 national
 MP
 will
 work
 with
 provincial
members 
in 
Small
 Malaita.

 Chiefs Meeting

On

 attended
 a
 chiefs 
meeting
 of

 tribal
 chiefs
 in 
Asimeuri.
 This
 was 
the
 final
 of 
a 
series

meetings

chiefs

 leaders
 have
 been
 having
 to
 discuss 
the
 issue
 of 
an 
additional 
constituency
 in 
Small 
Malaita.

wife.

 said

 group
 was
 hopeful

 donation

 Centre.

 supplies
 the
 nurse

 charge
