visited
Parasi
airport
on
10th
November
2011
where
he
met
the
community
leaders
and
foreman
of
works
at
the
airport.
Hon Hou
said
he
was
very
pleased
with
the
progress
of
the
airport
rehabilitation
works.
The
contractor
was
also
pleased
and
assured
that
the
work
should
be
completed
by
the
end
of
November.
Hon
Hou
commended
the
land
owners
and
community
leaders
for
their
support
and
commitment
to
complete
the
job.
Hon
Hou assured
them
that
he
will
pursue
the
completion
of
outstanding
jobs
including
the
fencing
and
the terminal
building.
Hon
Hou
is
proud
to
report that
early
December
the
airport
had
been given approval
by
the
Civil
Avia:on
Authority
of Solomon
Islands
(CAASI).
To
round
this
off
for the
year Hon
Hou
and
his
family
were
on
the
first commercial
flight
to
have
landed
a
Parasi
on
the 27th
December, 2011.
This
was
followed
by
the signing
of
the
50
years
lease
agreement
signed
between
the
land
trustees
and
the
commissioner
of
lands
on
12th
December,
2012.
